I Was Overwhelmed! But Now… I’m Grateful!

It’s been over 2 months since I’ve last blogged. Life just really challenges you sometimes. Lately, it’s been a roller coaster ride. In the last month or two, I have moved the business location twice looking for the right place or places. I have moved residences within the last 30 days as well. I don’t know about you, but I hate moving! The crap you accumulate that you don’t need is never-ending. I’ve also been actively pursuing a relationship with my friend/girlfriend. Seems like we can easily go into a stressed out mode, huh? But not to make any excuses, I didn’t have a lot of notice for changing the business location. It came as a surprise, but obviously in retrospect I should have been expecting it. I have now spread the business out in several locations to ensure multiple physical addresses for higher-end personal training right here in Marin with 100% guaranteed results. I have better locations than before which are centrally located within San Rafael, Corte Madera, and Mill Valley. I now live in a beautiful condominium with friendly neighbors and an overall scenic environment. Life is good and it’s just getting better and better because I choose to make it that way!

How we deal with change in life is key though. I’m not saying it’s easy by any means. It’s not easy and most of us don’t change very easily, but we are all more adaptable than we give ourselves credit for.  I thought I was in a terrible position, but it was just temporary. Ever been backed into a corner and forced to make a decision? Welcome to change whether you like it or not. Of course no one wants to be backed into a corner and we don’t have to if we play a reasonable game of chess. Strategic moves at the right time always thinking one step ahead,,, you know what I mean. Timing is everything. I am certain though when you panic and rush your decision the outcome is less than desirable. It takes clear conscious thought to resolve a situation that is difficult and one that you’re just not used to being in. You will be challenged, but you will be better off for it as well. Change is needed in all of our lives to progress, grow stronger, become more committed, and really know what we want. Change is going to help you become the person you truly want to be.

Right now I would like to share the importance of a deadline. I can’t believe the amount of work I was able to do when I had to. Good business decisions needed to be made quickly and efficiently. I didn’t have too much time to think and ponder about it. I needed to take action and plenty of it. I needed to get something done and move on to the next task at hand. My clients needed to be happy with the new locations and it needed to be a positive environment for myself as well. Xavier and Nadia over at Body by X in Corte Madera have been a pleasure to meet and work with. Both Nadia and Xavier are very passionate about life as well as health and fitness. I love this environment. I love being around people that want to grow and build a fantastic life for themselves as well as their friends and clients. Amazingly, I found this situation through a deadline. A deadline and some persistent action has improved my business and improved my quality of life. I’m grateful to be at: http://www.getfitmarin.com interacting with clients and friends and giving back.

Who’s up for a challenge? Or do most of us back our way into a challenge? I think we can all be more proactive in our lives. How do you really know what you’re capable of unless you are really pushed or pushing yourself? The truth of the matter is we don’t really know.  I didn’t know. We usually do what needs to be done… no more. I don’t know of too many people that want to make it harder, but when it is harder we will find out who we really are and what we’re capable of. I learned myself I don’t have enough challenges in my life. It’s good to be a little on edge, a bit of a risk taker, someone who doesn’t want to play it safe all the time. Life is just too short and the older I get…  the quicker life gets in front of me. So, if you get pushed to your limits embrace it, face it, work with that deadline, and see what you are really capable of. Health and fitness is easy. It’s life that can be difficult, challenging, unplanned, and unforgiving at times, but life is also amazing, vibrant, exciting and ultimately left up to us. We decide our destiny. We make our future influenced by every decision we make in life. So, make good decisions and live your life to the fullest.

Frankly, I don’t think it matters how old you get. You have to grow, you have to learn, you have to apply what you learned, and you have to practice a good lifestyle while you help others. This is an amazing world we live in. I don’t care what anyone says. We’re lucky to be alive and we have a great opportunity to leave this planet better than when we found it. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. For our children and for our children’s children. Didn’t you hear that from your parents at one time? Let’s face it… We always know the right thing to do… we just have a hard time doing it! Well, maybe I do. I shouldn’t speak for anyone else. I just learned a lot about myself the last two months. If you never put your feet to the fire obviously you will never get burned, but you won’t be living to your potential either. How close do you want to play your life to your vest? I say step outside your safe zone and learn who you really can become. I have a feeling you’re really going to like that person and your life is going to become that much richer. The future is better than you think. http://www.abundancethebook.com
