Bone spurs around my hip socket stopped me from playing tennis. As a result, I lost the benefits of my primary physical activity and I quickly found myself gaining weight. I also was in increasing pain in and around my back. My doctors diagnosed “degenerative disk disease,” which it turns out, is another name for an aging back. They suggested strong doses of ibuprofen. The medication did not help the pain and did more harm than good.
I began to bruise too easily. In desperation my wife, an R.N. sent me to a personal trainer in the hope (correctly) that an exercise program would be of benefit. I began working with John a year ago. After a year the results of my work with John have been amazing. John designed a program that works “the core” of my body and that has increased my strength, balance, and posture.
I no longer experience back pain and I have returned to an occasional game of tennis. I have become far more in touch with my body and I have learned to play tennis in a way that minimizes any irritation to my hip. It is wonderful to feel healthy again. Better still, John is fun to work with. His exercises are varied and never too difficult. He helps you gradually grow into his program while increasing strength, balance, and an awareness of your body. John listens to his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking physical improvement.
